GREENTECH RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

The Greentech Fuel Efficiency Technology was developed over a period of 10 years with over 3 years of field testing, and the breakthrough came in 2006 when testing clearly concluded improving performance across fuel consumption, lowering harmful exhaust emissions and greenhouse gases. The technological breakthrough in a simple-to-use device that is easy to install and the results are validated by SGS, TUV-Rhineland, California Environmental Engineering -a major EPA-recognized and CARB-Certified mobile source emissions laboratory, TVS Motor -the third largest motor manufacturer in the world, Ashok Leyland -the fourth largest bus manufacturer in the world, Ashirvad Pipes -an international manufacturer for PVC pipes, Sagar Cements Limited (SCL) -one of the leading cement manufacturers in India, and over 20 authorities across US, Australia, Japan, India, China, Africa, UAE, Vietnam, and more.

What test methods Greentech uses

US EPA Federal Test Procedure (FTP-75) & Highway Fuel Economy Driving Schedule (HWFET)
US EPA Federal Test FTP-75
The EPA Federal Test Procedure, commonly known as FTP-75 for the city driving cycle, are a series of tests defined by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to measure tailpipe emissions and fuel economy of passenger cars. The city driving (the FTP-75 proper) and highway driving (HWFET) test run at a EPA certified lab by controlling all the factors that may affected the fuel consumption and emissions results such as fuel quality, loading weight, temperature, humidity, wind speed, driving behavior, etc. All new motor vehicles and engines must receive certification from EPA before the vehicle is introduced into commerce in the US.
FTP-75
The “city” driving program of the EPA Federal Test Procedure is identical to the UDDS plus the first 505 seconds of an additional UDDS cycle.

Then the characteristics of the cycle are:

  • Distance traveled: 11.04 miles (17.77 km)
  • Duration: 1874 seconds
  • Average speed: 21.2 mph (34.1 km/h)

The procedure is updated by adding the “hot start” cycle that repeats the “cold start” cycle at the beginning of the UDDS cycle.

Highway driving
The “highway” program or Highway Fuel Economy Driving Schedule (HWFET) is defined in 40 CFR 600.I. It uses a warmed-up engine and makes no stops, averaging 48 mph (77 km/h) with a top speed of 60 mph (97 km/h) over a 10-mile (16 km) distance.
The following are some characteristic parameters of the cycle:
  • Duration: 765 seconds
  • Total distance: 10.26 miles (16.45 km)
  • Average Speed: 48.3 mph (77.7 km/h)

Since 2007, Greentech has done a series of tests using accepted Federal Test Procedures (FTP) defined in CFR-40, Part 86, and Appendix 1. at the California Environmental Engineering (CEE) – a major EPA-recognized and CARB-Certified mobile source emissions laboratory.  According to the test results, Greentech shows a reduction in key vehicle tailpipe emissions and an increasing improvement in fuel economy from 6% to 12% on Petrol cars and Diesel trucks. This included a significant reduction in Total Hydrocarbons (THC), Carbon Monoxide (CO), and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx).

SAE J1321 – Fuel Economy Test Procedure for Light-Duty Vehicles

SAE J1321 test

The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) created the SAE J1321 standard, a widely accepted industry standard for gauging the fuel efficiency of light-duty cars. Vehicle producers, authorities, and other organizations use it to assess the fuel effectiveness of cars and to contrast the fuel economy of various models.

The SAE J1321 test technique covers a range of distinct driving cycles that reflect various forms of driving and is intended to closely imitate real-world driving circumstances. These include driving in cities, on highways, and a combination of cities and highways. The test process also accounts for variables that may have an impact on fuel efficiencies, such as tire size, vehicle weight, and ambient temperature. Vehicles used in the test include an unchanging control vehicle, to provide reference fuel consumption, and test vehicle(s) that are modified during the test process. All vehicles are operated simultaneously and over the identical test circuit during each test run. The test procedure provides a percent difference in fuel consumption between the two conditions of a test vehicle.

Greentech has done a series of tests using SAE J1321 standard at SGS and TÜV Rheinland in Taiwan, which are both the world’s leading testing, inspection, and certification companies.  According to the test results, Greentech shows a significant fuel saving on Gasoline cars ranging from 10.68% – 14.1%.

GARB MOTORCYCLES

Grab motorcycles
Grab Holdings Inc., commonly known as Grab, is a Singaporean multinational technology company. It is the developer of the Grab super-app, which provides users with transportation, food delivery, Taxi, and digital payments services via a mobile app. Grab currently operates in Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. It is Southeast Asia’s first decacorn, and the biggest technology startup in the region.

The delivery team of Grab in Vietnam has tested Greentech fuel saver in motorbikes with an average result of 9.5% reduction in fuel consumption. Moreover, according to research in Vietnam:

❏ 33% of partners said the device helps reduce emissions
❏ 42% of partners feel increased engine power
❏ 75% of partners say the engine runs smoother and Car runs faster
❏ 8% of partners say the car is smoother in cornering

Saves up to 21.2%
on Grab motorcycles.

CITY BUSES

The Anbessa City Bus Service Enterprise is a state-owned public transport operator headquartered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Currently, there are around 1,230 city buses under the enterprise, and they cover a collective distance of 54,000 km daily and 40 percent of the transport demand in the city.

According to the trial reports of Anbessa city buses, Greentech achieves 8.89% fuel saving percentage in 5000 kilometers of travel.  Also, more trials on city buses show positive results on both fuel saving and emission reduction such as IFFCO UAE, Sheger Mass Transport, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation India, SRS Travels, and more.

HEAVY-DUTY MACHINES

Thriveni – one of the Biggest Iron Ore & Coal Mining Companies in India with the capability of 40 MTPA, (4+4) operating mines & one billion Tons mineral Reserve. Thriveni has 1500+ heavy machines, and the daily Diesel consumption is around 400,000 liters.

According to the trial reports on heavy duty machines such as Caterpillar 390F machines, Hindustan 2021D, Komatsu Pc210 excavator, Hitachi Excavator, In-well Rig Compressor, Diesel Loaders, etc., Greentech fuel saver helped to save around 9% – 22% on Diesel, and the cost savings over the course of a year are significant, making it a worthwhile investment. After installation, Greentech does not require maintenance and can continue to improve engine performance, reduce carbon buildup, and increase machine lifespan. It is a fantastic decision.

FACTORY LPG BOILER

Greentech also offers LPG models that provide energy savings for LPG/CNG natural gas boilers. By using a channel to allow the LPG Fuel Saver to pass through the intake pipeline, approximately 10-15% of natural gas can be saved.

This is particularly advantageous for hotels or factories that use gas to produce products. For example, Ashirvad Pipes, an Italian company that manufactures water pipes in India, installed the Greentech LPG Saver on their production line, improving profitability for their factory.
